I am a licensed psychotherapist and personal coach with offices in Aventura and Plantation, Florida.

Originally from New York City, I have been in private practice in Florida since 1991. I specialize in the treatment of stress and anxiety related problems such as panic disorder and phobias. Many years ago I began training individuals with fear of driving phobia.

The phobia could have resulted from being in an auto accident, escaping one but having a near miss or just becoming increasingly more afraid of driving over time. I discovered that more people had this type of phobia than I had originally thought. There were also different aspects of this phobia that troubled different people. For example, some needed help driving on highways others driving over causeways, bridges or overpasses while other drivers needed help just driving down the street.

As I trained more drivers I developed a system that could help them understand and implement the strategy I found to be most successful. That system is the Fearless Driving system. I decided to publish this manual along with a companion audio CD (used in the car while driving) for drivers who needed the training but could not get it from me personally. I added a section for coaches; people who the drivers choose to help them train.I believe this manual can help get the fearful driver back on the road again.
